Dear Sile & Tom,
A few lines to tell you I got your letter for Xmas & check thanks you or always good. I hope ye had a good Xmas. How is Michael what did he get from Santa. How is Tom. Is he still working ye or looking to have the house it is nice a warm. I had a letter from Tomas for Xmas he is thinking of going to USA he have his papers got. Are you coming home this summer Michael is too young to bring him. Kaot Connor was home & her child she is gone back after Xmas she is Mrs Heifern now .

Dear Sile, Tom & Michael,
A few lines in answer to your letter received a few days ago glad to hear from you. Da is home from the hospital as good as ever he was saving the hay and weeding the mangolds. He was looky to get better.
John Grummell Gurrane died he went for an operation he wasn't a day sick. How is Michael ? had a nice time in the prosession & ? red sash
Jim Bowler & caitlin is home they were down by us she went to Listowel this week. She will come back again in a week time. We have the hay saved the mangolds cleared not much to be done. Hanna papered all the rooms upstairs they are very nice she ? them & got new lino for Da room. It is something like a hotel come for a trip Bring Michael when he will get holidays. Hanna had a sore foot when she was home it was sore and swollen the instep she can't work if it is swollen she hadn't no? time? but? work.
How is Tom tell him to come for a holiday.
Jim Bowler is very tall he is a great swank? & so is herself they might go to England for a trip they were thinking of going. The Bowlers are fine Kate Devane is better she got very good. John Grummell had Ulsters? he only lived 4 days. You ill get tired of reading this. I have no more to say hoping to hear from you soon again. Love? & best wishes from
