The transcription on findmypast of Fred Fishers occupation is wrong and I have corrected it.

At BTplc.com there is a history page with videos from 1940s showing Telephone Cable Jointing and Plumbing

The DOB for Sarah E Fisher is wrong. It should be 1 Oct 1896

Note: Sarah incorrectly specifies her Father as William Williams when it was actually Alfred Williams. I am confident it was Alfred Williams as he appears on her first marriage cert and on her own birth cert.

Sarah incorrectly specifies her Father as William Williams when it was actually Alfred Williams. I am confident it was Alfred Williams as he appears on her first marriage cert and on her own birth cert.

I suspect she made the mistake because she never knew her real father, he died a few months after she was born, her mother remarried.

Also she was really 30 not 28 :)
