Note: Hartford Courant newspaper Hartford Courant newspaper August 12, 2000 DOGGART, Jennie Winifred (Beebe) Jennie Winifred (Beebe) Doggart, 100, of Manchester, wife of 58 years to the late Robert J. Doggart, passed away Friday, (August 11, 2000) at a local convalescent home. Born November 10, 1899 in Manchester, daughter of the late Olin and Mary (Hutchinson) Beebe, she had lived in Wapping, Talcottville, and then in Manchester for 70 years. Prior to retirement, she was employed with the former Kage Company of Manchester. Mrs. Doggart was a member of Center Congregational Church in Manchester for over 50 years, a member of the World War One Barrack's Auxiliary #786, and the AARP #604. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother to her surviving family, which includes two daughters, Mary Crocker of Glastonbury, and Lois Doggart of Manchester, with whom she made her home; three sons and daughters in-law, Robert A. and Gloria T. Doggart of Coventry, James O. and Doris D. Doggart of Vernon, and Earl E. and Diane N. Doggart of Ellington; ten grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; two great great grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by seven brothers and three sisters. |
