William and Mary Twins? – Doggart Family Tree

Shared note	William and Mary Twins? Confused. Look at these two pages on Ancestry. http://records.ancestry.com/William_Doggart_records.ashx?pid=152249697 http://records.ancestry.com/Mary_Ann_Doggart_records.ashx?pid=149846661 They both say these are children of same parents. But they give dates as Mary Ann Doggart: 1890-1898 William 1890-1890 Looking in the Birth and death indexes myself I see Mary Ann and William both born in 1890 but the page refs are a long way apart so they aren't twins. Both are in the same quarter though. This makes no sense for the same parents to have 2 children that aren't twins within 3 months of each other. So Ancestry must be wrong. But the famous Russell Doggarts family tree shows both William and MAry with same birth date. i.e. he says they are twins. But did he check the certificates or just assume? No way of checking without ordering the certs. I think most likely only one belongs to these parents, probably Mary Ann

Mary Ann and William both born in 1890 but the page refs are a long way apart so they aren't twins.

So Ancestry must be wrong.
